Lipped Wheels On all 4 wheels

ike, are those 17x9's up front? do you have any issues with them at all? reason i ask is the company i ordered my wheels from just called me and said they are out of stock on the 17x8's and that they'd switch me to 17x9's for no extra charge.

I would also like to know this. Im thinking about ordering some new wheels- 17x10 in the rear and either 17x8's or 17x9's in the front. But I can't decide if I want 17x8's or 9's. I think those are 17x9's and if so I also would like to know if you have an issues+ what tire size your running. Looks like the car isnt lowered tho either, so that could be an added issue....

Yeah they are 17x9s. I do have a tiny issue but its cause I need some new struts, my tires rub inside the fender under hard braking or hard turns. Im also running a taller tire than some others, 245/45/17 is what Im running, some others are running 245/40/17. I didnt do anything except add rack limiters to keep the back of the wheel from hitting the rear of the lower control arm.

thanks for the reply. so you say it's just a tiny issue? i guess i'll just have to see how it goes then considering i have brand new shocks/struts/springs but my car is lowered and i'll be running a 235/45 up front. i'm doubting any issues with the rear other than removing my quads. man i'm really stoked about it, i can't wait til they get in! i've only ever had ponies on any stang i've ever had, this will be a big improvement in the looks department for me!

The lip isnt really an issue with the 03' style wheel as there isnt really much of a lip on it to begin with. Heres a pic of mine with 17x9's all the way around, had to remove the quads and install 1 steering rack limiter on each side but they fit pretty good (rub on the fenders on road-courses though). And btw, a 245 is the narrowest tire I'd put on a 9" rim, 235 would be stretched too much for my liking. I currently have 255's all the way around but I previously had some 275s on the rear with no additional issues.

why woudl you have to remove the quads for x9's i thought they were a direct fit...

My car is at stock ride height and has stock-length ranger axles on it. When I installed the cobras the inner wheel weights would come in contact with the quad shocks and actually damaged one so I removed them. If you have sn-95 axles this might not be a problem, but then the fender clearance becomes an issue (which would probably be easily solved by rolling the fenders)
