Liquid PTFE or Tape on these applications..

I have to install a cap on a sending unit on my gas tank. I found the cap, but noone seems to know if i should use PTFE tape or the liquid version.

I also have to install some plugs in my intake (carb'd intake) and and have to cap 1 port on my water pump.

Should i just get a bottle of the liquid, or do i need tape instead?

I would use tape myself.
