Do you want it gasket matched, or do you want the runners ported all the way to the upper with flow testing etc?

Grant at Precision Motors, its off of Grand ave in Downtown Everett. He is the guy that did all of the machine work for Mike's Mustang, he is extremely good, wouldn't take anything anywhere else.

Wait a minute Ethereal,

Dave Bliss?

Progressive Automotive (specializes in multi valve heads)?

I'm looking for something between gasket matching and flow testing...

I want it gasket matched, but I also want it ported through the runnes to the upper... Don't really need it flow tested...

Basically, my car starts to flatten out at the top end and run rich... I am assuming that it is due to the GT-40 intake which I have read is notorious for the lower not flowing well... I'm hoping to get my lower ported this winter and be ready for next spring...

Thanks.

Check with John Haskell @ Air Research 253-848-1628
He works alot with Dave Bliss. John could have had jobs in the Southeast with big name NASCAR teams, but didn't want to move.

This will address your question and Ethereal's,

Progressive Auto does R and D and fabricates parts, but usually for multi valve foreign car heads (Alpha Romeo, BMW, Ferrari, the new Mini, Lotus, etc. On occassion he does domestic stuff too (he recently worked-over a single plan Edelbrock Torker for a Windsor). I know how he operates. He would want to flow test your intake and he'd probably want the upper and lower and he would probably keep it for weeks. But the results would be good. He is the guy that explained what to do to my P heads to get a little more out of them. Keep in mind that my P heads have never even had a valve job and they were taken from a dead Mountaineer engine. He's always telling me that domestic pushrod V8's are 30 years out-of-date and that the innovations we veiw as "new" were done in Europe in the 60's. He has a point.

I know that Bliss gives his porting to someone, but I could not remember the guy's name. I know those two make a great team.
