I've been messing around with my Stang this week and have found that by patronizing my local area speed shop, I've been able to get a lot of advice for free as well as many parts below Summit and E-bay prices. He even offers next day availability at no extra cost. The B.S.ing is fun too. As the sign in his shop says, "If you don't shop here, you may find us missing one day".

My sister has a neighbor who owns the local NAPA (~1 mi. from my sis' house), he and his wife are into classics (Cougars, go figure! ). When I was living with my sister during my first go round w/ cancer, I would walk up to the store and we'd talk cars and parts, etc.....They helped me out more than once in locating hard to find parts, with discounts, etc........:nice:

Now I'll go up the road a few miles and spend time BS-ing with the mechanic who does the maintenance on my '88 DeVille. He's been a great help by lending me tools for those one time jobs (i.e.: spring compressor, pitman arm puller, etc...), and the free advice too!

Never hurts to get to know the local people in the business!:nice:
