Well I got my new wheels yeterday... :) Fired up the compressor got the tools out to install them and could not find the bloody key to the factory locking lugnuts...:mad::mad:

I know that I can beat a 12 pointed sock over them to get them off. Anybody have a better idea?

Take the car over to a good tire shop.I know snap-on and most of the other major tool brands make a special kit for removing locking lugs so these shops would be places to have one. they can zip it of for you and then just pic up a new lug nuts. I have had to use the 12point method before and it sucks but works, although a lug nut can get permanently stuck on and then you go through alot of sockets :notnice:. the kit isn't cheap so getting one isn't worth it.

Looks like I will be going to a shop...

One of the lug holes on the new rims was scratched pretty bad and it looks like O.E. will be sending a new one, so I have time to screw around w/ getting the flipping locking lug off this weekend...

new wheels and they came scratched already? what did you buy?

10th anniversary gunmetal 4 lugs from O.E. Wheels w/ 255/40/17 on all four corners. The guy @ O.E. seemed nice when I spoke with him this morning. I e-mailed a picture and he said he would get back to me. I almost let it go but know that everytime I look at the car, the first thing I will see is the scratch in the lug hole...

How would he use an air chisel without destroying everything?

The reputable tire shop idea sounds better.

it would wreck the locking lug nut, and thats it, i did this on a set of pony wheels and it worked fine and did the trick, all i had to do was replace the lug nut, which it sounds like he is doing anyways
