Look what I got today!! PICS

Well I drove up to 50resto to pick up some of my stuff for my engine buildup.

FRPP Hydraulic Roller lifters

Driver side MAC header

Passenger side MAC header

The guy I bought my heads from said he was gonna ship them today around 4. My Summit order should go out sometime today or tomorrow. Hopefully the other guys I bought the cam and rocker arms from will ship them out today or tomorrow.

They really don't do much good on stock heads. Certainly not worth the time or money. I went ahead and bought some since I'm doing heads, then I might as well replace the headers. Should be real easy with the heads off the car.

Didn't really think them to be necessary. And they are too much more, $230!! I would get LT's if I were to spend that much.

If you knew how much money I've spent the last 2 days, you would understand why I didn't want to drop $250 more, lol. I nearly wiped out one of my bank accounts!

Ok chris let me explain you this fact. If your going to spend your money then spend it wisely you didnt need the new headers (understanding its easier with the heads out but that aside) if its something that you want then go ahead but if LT's is in your future then you wasted your money.

agreed!!!

they suck!!!

mine were so warped.

a little advice don't take the headers off after they are installed because they will be warped and your going to cuss a lot when you put them back on.

you might want to return them and wait till you can get some with one peice flange.

I'm just going by my experience but you might want to ask some other people about the one peice flanges.

also congrats on all the upgrades I hope your new combo works out well for you!

good luck

Well actually Chris the factory headers become restrictive once you open up the exhaust side of the engine (which I'll be doing with the new heads). I'm not planning on switching out to LT's in the future. I was thinking about switching to them, but I really didn't want to spend the extra money on the LT's over the shorty's, PLUS the new mid-pipe. Besides, LT's might make the stang TOO loud.

Oh yea, and Chris I knew you were messing with me, it's all good. I know you're just jealous cus now I'll be faster. lol

So what's the deal with the individual flange or whatever? I'm not real worried about having to take them off, since once they're on, I'm not messing with them again.

I got quite a parts collection going now. The summit box has my head gaskets, head bolts, lubricants, sealants, and some other miscellaneous stuff. The yellow boc is my BBK AFPR. The black/red craftsman box is my balancer puller. The white box they're sitting on has my rockers, 7/16" studs, and pushrods in it. The bottom box on the left is my heads. The MAC box on top of it are my headers. The Ford Racing box on top of that are my lifters. The Fel-Pro box behind that is my timing cover gasket kit. The open box behind that is actually the box that my Tri-ax came in a long time ago, it was already in the corner over there, and I just threw it back on the pile, lol. I'm still waiting on my cam, injectors, and valve covers.
