OK sunday my rear locked up on me then freed up and started making noise..thought fir sure the 5000 rpm launches broke something...anywayz when i took the cover off there was a bolt that holds the rin in place wedged between the ring and the differential unit...took it out then i went to check the other bolts that hold the ring...and they are all hand lose!!! nothin really broken ...so im gonna egt some new bolts and tighten them up...what are the torque specs?? i didnt really take the rear apart and dont plan on it..all the teeth in the ring and pinion are in perfect shape....but the loose bolts could have explained the vibration i was feeling..ohh yea what i did find though is my upper control arms which are d&d...the bushings that are in the rear house have cam out almost all the way!!y is that?? can i just put them back in?? i have d&D uppers and lowers could they have changed my pinion angle and thats what happend...or is it because of the power level and launching?? need some advise...i almost wanna thow the stock setup back on

RING GEAR BOLTS TORQUE SPECS.
apply a drop of blue loc-tite to all bolts and torque them in stages (25, 50, final 70-85 ft-lbs), alternating bolts (since there are ten bolts, I torqued five in a star pattern to 25 ft-lbs as I do a wheel, then next pattern. Proceed in stages.)

sounds like your car is coming apart. invest in a set of new RUBBER upper bushings and put em in... and then get a torque wrench and go thru the whole car before the wheels fall out...

bolts loose in teh rear end? :nonono:

thanx for the torquing advise bill...and sroth i know i was expecting to see hell when i took the cover off...i was expecting ring and pinion to be chewed up and broken metal everywhere!!lucked out
