Let's see if I sell my notch for (and prices are all canadian) for $6000
2002-2003 GT's go for around 17,000 around here. I would have to finance 11,000which don't make big payments. But if I were to sink 11 grand into my fox in one shot, I'd have all new brakes, rebuilt transmission, healthy engine (aluminum heads)... It would pretty much be like a new car minus the shiny paint perhaps.

Go with the Mach 1 if you can, I drove a couple Mustang GT's when I was looking, the lack of low end torque just made the whole car feel slower. I started adding up modifications that I would have to do right after I bought it. With the Mach 1 I was sold on it the first test drive. Off idle isn't as good as my GT with gears, but right at 2,000 rpm its faster, soon as I can figure out how to launch it I'm sure I can get mid 13's out if it on street tires.
If you have the means test drive a Mach 1, then come back and tell us what you think.

Don't choose between one or the other, have the best of both worlds like me. Actually, I guess I have 3 worlds.

Sure my house is crap (its only temporary anyway), but I have all the Mustangs I want.
I love each one for different reasons, but I just couldn't ever part with the 68 or the 90.
