I have more status in my purple daily driver New Yorker than you'll ever have in that base model Mustang... any crumb of status you have driving your car will quickly go away with the addition of a hat and a pipe.

Right now I am looking at a full on GT500 conversion kit on eBay. Basically it is a five in one status package. it includes the front and rear stickers as well as the two side stickers. The icing on the cake; it also has the hood stripe stickers! At $39.99 It seems like a pretty good deal. My only concern is finding a reputable body shop here in Kentucky to do the install. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

invest some $$$ in some decent impressive Wheels. Those wheels you got are
the most UGLY wheels Ive ever seen on a Mustang.
So here I am in my '07 Stangcabrio6 in Hollywood! Alas, no silky top - just vinyl. Cloth seats, no message center, no my color. It gave new meaning to the term "Plain Jane." Yours probably much nicer. Mine was a rental. Seriously, it drew smiles and thumbs ups. Lots of cool tourists, the lights shining down from the hotel valet area as can be seen on the hood. The attendants were eager to park it. I felt like a million bucks. I didn't want envy or jealousy or anything of that sort. I wanted just plain fun. This was New Years 2006 going into 2007. Whipped it around like it was a rental, which it was. Whipped it around slowly, mind you. Tore up some pizza with those pizza cutters. Drove nowhere in particular on some days. Drove past Koreatown! Tore up some kim chee with those pizza cutters (just kiddin). Next February, I bought the babe pictured in the lower left hand corner. I just like the growl of an 8. My first drive as a kid was a '73 Impala with a 400.
I don't tell folks they have an ugly car, even if it was. Thems' fightin words.
No way was I going to drive it into lousy neighborhood, 6 or 8. In California, if you take anything remotely nice or looks nice in shady 'hoods be ready to draw contempt and not jealousy. They'll be likely to trash it or roll a shopping cart into it out here. No way was I going to drive into Eastlos. (East Los Angeles) Lots of folks out here can't tell a 6 cylinder Mustang from an 8 cylinder. Sad but true.
I really don't know what I'm sayin, but I'm just sayin. BTW, I've lost 10 lbs since this pic. You can never be too cool or too thin.

I fear that the factory stereo system doesn't deliver to all of the masses. I may need to install a few more speakers and a couple 1000W amps so that others may aspire.
My suggestion is that this in its entirety that, this is a bad idea.
Now THIS is a great start! Some high dollar aftermarket wheels (that noe EVERYONE has) with some new shoes and a lowering kit for an inch to inch and a half.
