Hi All,

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but im fairly novice and need some help. 1990 mustang LX notch, total preformance upper and lower intake, BBK cold air intake, upgraded mass air.....

my question is that I have recently installed a autometer vac guage and air fuel guage, on the electrical side I was able to get the wiring done for both guages to work with the dash lights but for the vac guage, can anyone tell me where to slice the vacuum line into to feed the guage???

I was told to find the vacuum tree on the drivers side firewall and use the line labelled s/c for the cruise control, this resulted in no feedback at the gauge, nothing, any ideas?

second question for the A/F does any one know what colour the sending wire is at the o2 sensor for the gauge? Any help wpuld be awesome!!!!! thanks

For the vac gauge, simply disconnect the line and see if you feel vacuum being pulled through it.

Double-check schematics, but IIRC EEC pin 43 is the right O2 sensor wire and EEC pin 29 is the left O2 sensor wire.

thanks everyone, i know there are better gauges out there, but i have some testing and tuning to do, thanks again for the suggestions, was a big help

As lance said, you need a wide band for testing and tuning, not way in hell you can tune anything with a standard a/f autometer.
Replace it with a full sweep temperature gauge.
