Looking for pics of fuel lines from filter to tank.

Last weekend I installed a 190 pump in my 88, and noticed more hidden "alterations". Looks like the last person to get under there broke the lines going from the pump to the filter, and just hose clamped some flexable fuel line from the filter to the broken line leading to the pump. The lines were routed incorrectly and running VERY close to the exhaust.

I just got some replacement hoses that run from the underbody lines to the filter and pump....but I am not 100% sure of the proper routing. It looks like my exhaust is a tad too close to the filter bracket, so I might end up moving everything around anyway...but I would like to get as close to stock as possible. From what I gather, the line actually goes from the RT side of the filter, loops around the filter and then through the bracket into the pump.

Basically does anybody have any pictures of the lines in question, with the tank removed? Or if anybody is getting ready to drop their tank, could you please snap a few pics of the lines and how they run from the underbody lines to the tank and filter?

I dont have any pics but i can describe to you what is there.


There are 3 lines.

One line is just a vent that leads to a small black box on the lower innder fenderwell on the passenger side. This is just a lame vent.


The other 2 lines are supply and return for the fuel. Its a closed loop fueling system so there are 2 lines.

Mine are all there, they are just routed wrong. When I dropped my tank I noticed that the last person under there messed everything up. It looks like the supply line from pump to filter was broken, so someone used normal fuel line and clamped it to the filter and the broken end of the line leading to the pump. So the lines were all disorganized and coming dangerously close to the exhaust. I got a set of the correct lines from pump to filter and return side of pump to return line. I just need to figure out the correct way they are routed.

I am doing it tomorrow, so it looks like I might end up removing the filter bracket and locating it in a place so all the lines are hidden and protected.
