Looking for the perfect vacation in south east

I am looking for the perfect vacation around nc or at least within 300-400miles of north carolina.
For me I am lookin for something that has a track or something about mustangs performance cars, or track time, but the only thing is I would like to spend time with my wife. She is supportive of what I do(cars, racing etc) but she loves Architector, houses, plantations, anything to do with old houses or buildings. does anyone know where I can find these two things close to each other?

Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach. Can't be more than 300 miles as it's northern SC. It's a week (not the whole week) of Mustang things. Cruises, car shows, track days (drag racing and road track stuff) and other gatherings. I have been the past 2 years (drive 800+ miles from CT) and found it to be perfect. We do Mustang stuff in the afternoon, go out at night and enjoy the mornings/days at the beach or whereever!
