My Tweecer RT should be in the mail this week.

What is my current processor using (AL9)? It is a 94 with manual trans.

Also where can I get other tunes? Specifically I am looking for a cobra tune that I can change to work with my application as a starting point as I hear that the cobra tune gets rid of a lot of the tip-in retard, etc.

Basically I want to make a couple tunes with no EGR and using everythign else the same as my car so I can start from there.

Hey man, you'll want to get a T4M0.bin tune to start off with. When you put the twEECer on, double-check the catch code on the PCM to make sure it says T4M0 which is what you should have.

You can read your PCM or download T4M0 (T5 GT) and J4J1 (Cobra) here: http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/bins/

To get going, load up the T4M0 and you'll find a couple items in the scalars, "EGR System Type" (PFEHP) and "minimum_spark_for_tip-in_retard" (TIP_MIN_SP).

To cut the EGR off, set its scalar to "2".

To disable the spark retard on tip-in, set it to "50".

Download a free copy of BinaryEditor to make working with your tunes much easier and you can search for the PIDs I listed above (PFEHP, TIP_MIN_SP) and do a good many other neat tricks: http://www.eecanalyzer.net/product_info/binary_editor.html
