does anyone else find that on the new body style being ford didn't paint the slanted pillars next to the head lights body color make it look cheap? On the old body style like my 07 where they where vertical they where painted body color. Has anyone had there's painted, would it be a big deal?

It doesn't bother me, but my 'stang is black so you have to look close to see that it's not painted to match the car.

Meh, not really. I think they were just trying to make it blend well with the rest of the grille.

This is the same thing I was figuring....Seems like ford used it to blend that, and possibly the black side skirts and bumper, over all theme....Doesn't bother me either since my car is lava red

It's a GT thing. The V6's and Boss are painted. Personally I think they look better painted!

AM actually now sells blackout covers for the 05-09's to make it look like the new ones. It's done to make it look like it's all grill. I like it personally.
