Hey guys....

Sorry to bother you or ask you stupid questions.....which ever one i'm doing this time,lol.....but anyways....i purchased a 88gt manual some time ago, and it was said to have the HO set up.....when HE got this car.....it came with no engine, and he put in a 85 towncar Lincoln engine in it with about 60k on it that they were selling cheap......anyways, he also upgraded that engine an had them put a HO cam in it.........even the firing order on the plugs are HO (13726548) can i assume this is an HO?

I don't think so....

If it was an 85 motor is not an HO, cam or not. It will have the wrong heads. It will lack the E7 castings. Also, if I recall, I might be off on this one, an 85 would not be a roller motor.

As he said, that would not be a roller cam block from the factory. It also would have the e5 heads on it which are not as good as the e7's.

Yeah most E5ers...go to e7's...and if your on a budget buy some new heads and port them yourself or buy thumpers for around $600
