Look's like im picking up a 98 cobra today..

throw some 4.30's, short shifter, and longtubes/exhaust on that thing and it will be 100032x more fun
They really arent that spectacular in stock form
(wanna trade your 98 rims for some MINT 96/97 cobra rims :D )

lol, well guy's it now has bassani Xpipe, optimal length headers and magnapack exhaust. It should be complete by tomarrow afternoon. My best friend owns a muffler shop in irvine so he couldnt wait. I think thats all im gonna do. Now I think it's worth 11k.
On a side note have any of you guy's been into the svt section here? There not very helpfull, and kind of dull. Yet another reason I'm keeping the 94.

Well the exhaust isnt on yet, it's gonna take the better part of the day to put the headers on. My friend had this set up on his own 98 vert, so he gave it to me really cheap. I wish I had a money tree. To answere a few questions about the 94, I kinda rebuilding the whole thing, I say kinda because I'm not doing anything to the bottom end, or most of the drivetrain, just a new cam, a little more port work on the AFR's, and a bunch of suspension goodies. I'm building a motor for it, for future use, so for now I'm optimizing the stocker. The other motor is going to be verry verry expensive, so i'm taking my time, because I dont have a money tree... I am looking a different direction than I was originally, I bought an A4 block from an engine shop in torrance, my idea was to build it, boost it, and be done with it; but I think I'm gonna go a completly different direction from the norm. Something different from everyone else, but it is going to cost in the neighborhood of 15k for just the engine:jaw: . I dont know there still just ideas.

well the 98 block is better than the 94 but the 98 internals can only handle what 400rwhp?

either way its a costly deal to have a reliable 450+ rwhp. Thats why I am considering a terminator in the future :)
the only bad part about the 98 engine is the pistons and rods(450rwhp), crank and block will take more than anybody will throw at it (street car....1000hp or so)
and 6500+ rpms is fuuunnnn :D

BTW-boost + 32valve = unbelievable power

Holy **it, this thing sounds unbelievable with the new exhaust, it's loud but not intrusive, cruising on the freeway at 70 - 80 it's nice and quiet. Put any load on it and it sounds incredible... I have been stopped twice by other car owners, just to ask what it is. I dont get this much attention in the white cobra, and it's really loud... I will post a sound clip when I get my camera back.

Nice, congrats. You bought that 98 Cobra off CraigsList, didn't you? I think I remember seeing that pic up there recently.

for some reason those dohc engines seem to generally make more noise than a 2v 281 or pushrod. They def. sound badass tho, especially since u can wind those things out way farther than a 302.
