Looks like the car isin't getting painted again. New build.

went and got my contour fan today. got my inline filter, pcv, blah blah. just need the punches for the install basically.

tomorrow the contour fan gets wired up and mounted. then it goes down for the sc install. here is some pics of it :D got everything down to the pipe for radiator hose which is already cut/setup. smog dummy pulley, 3 different sized SC pulleys with belts for each.

just waiting on my gauges at this point and it's ready for a dyno tune.

some progression thus far..

got new plugs in and gapped. solved an issue i have had that i didnt know about too with one of the plugs.

got the 42's installed and the intake back on. got the filler tube to tb line capped off.

going to put the stock PS bracket back on and relocate it back to factory spot.

after tonight i should have the oil feed line assembly done, accessories removed, pcv stuff done, crank pulley installed. basically everything except the intake, main bracket and return line.

tomorrow i have some assistance coming from a member with an s-trim, hope to hear it run if all goes well! :nice:

first and foremost, last thursday fiveohblow came all the way to my house to help. THANKS A TON BRO!!! good times were had for sure and alot of progress along the way.

i've hit some nasty snags with my serpentine belt routing/clearance. end result was to purchase a 93 cobra water pump pulley ($$$), v6 mustang ps pulley, fms a/c delete which moves the PS up, then figure out my belt length.

the wp pulley and a/c delete are here tomorrow, and i should button this up. in addition to that, i just need to connect the bypass hose and an adapter for my vacuum line.

topped off all fluids tonight, checked for leaks, all seems good. tomorrow im aiming to get all the belts on and dialed in. gauges hooked up and then drive it. ill upload my idle video tonight maybe..

thanks. got it all put together completely tonight.

steering is extremely TIGHT like manual steering feel with my ps pump hooked up.

i also cannot touch the gas without it falling to idle and dying/barely recovering. taken off both belts, unplugged maf, watching my fuel pressure, good vacuum..

welcome to the back burner mustang :nice:

well i ended up getting the starting issue figured out. long story short.. my chip when pulled would allow the car to rev. when we got to the dyno, he could not figure it out either. we finally pulled the inner fender liner out to look at the maf physically. there is little rubber isolators inside the connector. well i had one at each connector, male and female ends for the maf. so it was not allowing the maf to make a connection.

we got that done with and onto the dyno. my car na before made 299/299 on the dyno. the first pull it saw 4 psi and blew the inlet tube off. we mended that and continued..

with the 3.33 pulley it is seeing a peak of 7.2 lb boost. the first real pull yielded me like 42x hp and 39x torque. i was like this  he made some more tweeks to a/f and timing and it made 45x hp and 40x torque lol.

over 150 rwhp on 7 pounds. amazing.. i ended up having it tuned to 425/400. pulled down 27 mpg on the way home. not too bad for the $950 i have into this now. :D

Congrats bro!!!! Makes it all worth it, and super glad I could be a part of it. I wont let Andy attack you next time and maybe we will be a bit more productive :p

Some good numbers, my turn :D

i am completely satisfied with the power. i honestly have no plans for more power anytime soon, i just want to get a stout trans and rear this winter. maybe get it painted. just keep making it a better car all around is my goal.

maybe after next year ill do a dart based stroker and put a smaller pulley on.. for now though, another 125 ponies behind the pedal is just fine. i really was not even "bored" with my 300rwhp combo. my car is so light, it never felt that slow haha.

Mines lighter and it feels slow haha

whats your whip weigh?

i ran a 13.0 at 110 with it at 300 rwhp. this was off idle on 18" sumitomo tires. so it had a mid 12 pass capable. that isin't slow really for a street car.

2938 before driver, took another 25lbs off with a 79 bumper, best time is an 8.7 at 80mph
I think he has the stock engine in there with no major mods?

Correct me if I'm wrong crane... If you switched it I haven't heard...

I have a stock engine with no mods :)
Well no engine mods, just MM's entire catalog and 3.73's
