a hammer and a flat screw driver is always easy......or smash (take apart) the column apart and take the cylender out and use something to turn the ignition

I think there is a rod that goes through the column that you can push instead of turning the key.....if you can bust the wheel lock to allow yourself to drive it

Or instead of tearing things up. Take the key cylinder out and remove the tumblers. Takes a little more time but nothing gets broken.

If you do this, make sure you have the title and/or bill of sale with you. If a cop looks over and sees that smashed column, you WILL get pulled over.

lots of ford keys are interchangeable...sometimes for ignition only..sometimes locks....sometimes both. A buddy of mine had a contour and his key would start my 94GT, a minivan, and unlock various other cars...scary

another way is to take the collumn apart, and you will see the ignition switch its like tan and silver, unplug the plugs then take out the two screws on the inside... You can then actually push the switch enough to allign the pads that need to make contact and start the car... You will see what i am talking about if you take it apart... then you dont have to break ****... i had to do this about 5 years ago in college when i lost my keys on spring break...
