svttech76 said:yeah.. the coil pack is your problem then.. I just looked at the diagram.. what was number 4 is where the number 1 wire will go when you swap them so replace that coilpack and your car should be fixed..

Of course the misfire has been there a while so I'm hoping it stays right. Good info here if I have to run down a gremlin. With 196K miles I don't expect much but this thing still runs pretty good.

That is precisely why I had suggested checking that cylinder for compression, if it was less than 50psi then there would be no point in checking anything else, if it was less than the others but still acceptable, then the problem is with the ignition and fuel wash is causing the lower compression.
