Lower Control arms-Which ones???

Greetigs guys-

I was wondering what everyone who has done Lower Conrtol Arms to there stangs prefer, opinions-brands and all? Im just doing Rear Upper/Lowers?

Go to maximum motorsports website and read through their comments about their 3 piece bushings that they use in their control arms. The article is excellent. You will think twice about running a knock off control arm with urethane bushings.

Would UPR be considered a knock off LCA? I was looking into those for $199 upper/lower.

Is this a car you drive everyday? If so I would only go with the MM parts. I know its more money but I believe they are worth it when comparied to most other parts. The quality is great and the customer service is great. I just like knowing that my Coupe is gonna get me home and not break.

Yup-Its a dialy driver, my everyday car. My entire car is Maximum motorsports, Just not lower control arms, ya know. How are the PRO3i? Seems like a knock off of MM-Whatta ya think?

at the end of 95 i put on a set of bbk on my 92 gt. sold the car in 2000 when I got married. the guy who bought the car from me said the car drove like a brand new car. i took care of it! they held up great and i put over 80,000 miles on them. I will buy them again for this recent 92 gt I got a few months ago.

MM for the lowers since they have the 3 pc polyurethane @ the chassis end & the spherical bearing on the axle end. the bearing allows the axle to articulate still since poly bushings will cause bind...Also for uppers on a daily, I would just say stick with the stockers because aftermarket uppers also bind & they could damage your tq boxes.....

Ive been running this setup for 2 years with no problems....

Your whole car is Maximum? If this is the case then why would you want to mix and match parts? Do yourself a favor and just buy the MM lowers and a set of police intercept uppers from MM and be done with this. I have a set of the uppers that I took off at roughly 75K miles and they still are in great shape. Took them off for my MM panhard bar and Torque arm. Is your car completely MM or just the parts that you have replaced?

Honestly, I spent big money...279 on my LCA's...Mega Bite Jr's for my Cobra. I spent 179.99 for the UCA's and LCA's for my notchback. Off brand Pro-Form's from my Detroit Speed Shop around my area.

Don't spend the extra money, it is a waste. Both my cars drive exactly the same. I like the cheaper ones better because they have grease fittings. My 279 dollar Mega's didn't even come with grease fittings....COME ON!!!! They squeak when I back out of my driveway.

Interesting. I have had the MM lowers on the car for over 90K miles. Never had them off, never heard them squeak, drive the **** out of it, and drives like a dream. Guess those Mega Bites aren't all that great but there sure are a lot of them out there at the drag strips. Sounds like somethings in a bind to me.

The torque arm is great! Car handles much better and is very predictable. I am still learning how to tune the Koni's but I think that will be something I will always mess with just trying to get that little extra grip from the car.

i have steada alum. lowers and love em. cant wait to do the intercepter uppers. If i had to do it again i would go with MM or the steada's.

Was digging though the garage last night and came across the MM uppers I had on my car. Pulled them off when I installed the panhard bar and torque arm. I believe this is what some refer to as the police intercepter uppers. Basically a stock part but Ford put a better bushing in it. I have some pics if anyone does not know what I am talking about. Just thought it would help with the discussion.

Hey guys-Thanks for the 411 & Opinions and help!
When i bought the car, It already had MM convertible multiple brace kit in it- Which was cool. So i really didnt have to do anything, When i upgraded the brakes-I went with MM and couldnt be happier.
Can you post a pic of the police interceoptor uppers? Which MM LCA's are tyou talking about, the XD series or HD duty seriies-There is a $100 difference. Which do you suggest?

I am at work but I will try and get a picture posted this evening. I have the XD's on the coupe but I race it on occasion. If this is just a street car and you are not going to drag race it then the HD's will be fine.

Go to MM website and look up the upper control arms. They only sell one and its what I have at the house.
