Finally did it.... Car looks great, and as far as i can tell, dosent bottom or anything....i took out 1/1/2 inches off the bottom of the spring with a sawzall (damn them springs took 3 blades each!) Put em back in, and wow looks like a new car (minus the wreckage)....in fact i dident do the rear yet, its dark and i wanna see how it looks tommorow, my rear was low anyhow.

You totally messed up the spring rate. If you notice the tops and bottoms are double coiled.

haha Well look at it this way... If you really did mess it up, its just a good excuse to get some real lowering springs.

Yea I think your tires will be eating the fenders when it hits some aggressive bumps.

FYI, I just had gears and driveshaft put in at poweredbyford in orlando, they pointed out to me how the owner before me had "torched" my springs as well. They encouraged me to get rid of them asap, as the process weakened the springs, and probably have to do with my car pulling (even though it is aligned) and poor performance over bumps.

no, there really isnt any diffference in the spring rate, as far as the coil spacing. I dont think the stock springs are progressive. Anyhow, i only cut it 1-1/2 so its no big deal, i was planning on getting some c springs anyway when i get my rims, so i dont care for now, it does look badass tho.
