Lowering 60fts

I need to lower my 60 foots drastically. Keep in mind the last time i was racing it was a couple degrees above freezing, so traction was a huge issue. But my 60fts were around 2.5!!

I only have subframe connectors for any sort of chassis stiffening. what would be the next step??

1. Upper and Lower control arms
2. Better springs
3. Better shocks/struts (drag shocks for rear)

After that... are you using slicks/drag radials or just regular radials? After you have decent tires and upgraded suspension you should be able to launch at a higher RPM... if you hook well your 60's will be a lot better.

If you're going to run slicks and launch at higher RPM's I'd suggest getting some Moser axles too.

dont worry about springs or shocks, neither are necessary at stock levels. the same for aftermarket axles, i'm shooting a 150 shot off the line with slicks on the stock rear end. no axle breakage here.

i'd get a set of jegster lift bars (which are actually southsides)

i have these they are nice, might as well and get new spring isolators too.

and get some slicks.
even if you dont get the arms the slicks should get you in the 1.7 60ft range easily

I'd say before you buy anything, you need some practice. You should be able to cut 2.0x's on a decently prepped track with radial tires. Once you've got your launches down, then I'd say you should upgrade, as you should know by then what it's going to take to launch your car. I'm usually able to salvage a piss poor 60' time by feathering the clutch/accelerator.

Give it time... Stock axles break under less power... also depending upon what RPM you launch at too.

For $250 I'd say it's at least peace of mind, once the axle breaks theres nothing keeping your wheel on the car, better than C-clip eliminators IMO. Personally I'm not even going to run slicks until I have Moser axles in.

Also I have pics of my brothers broken stock axle if you're still a non-believer, he was running N/A and probably not having more than 350RWHP.
