Whats up guys, ive had these springs sitting in my closet for 3months so i guess its time to lower it. I found a reputable company to lower it for $120, thats what they specialize in doing. Preston's in Pompano Beach, FL. The guy told me he's dropped many newer stangs with the h&r ss and eibach sportlines and he said they didnt need c/c plates..he said something about a rivet being drilled or adjusting and violoa!!..is this guy smoking crack or does he know what he is talking about? i will be getting shocks in like 4-5 months so I would get the c/c plates then unless i really really need them now..what do you think? oh yea..my car is a 02 gt vert with stock wheels.

There are ways around everything. With a big enough sledge hammer, cutting torch and drill you can probably get it into alignment. Do it right and get C/C plates. You will be glad you did.

$120 huh? I was quoted $200 for the installation of my H&R's plus KYB foxbody struts and '99+ shocks. Maybe I ought to shop around a little more for an installer. I've ordered the Maximum Motorsports 4 bolt CC plates. As soon as the CC plates arrive I'll be ready.

Btw, I have half a mind to ditch the KYB's and H&R's altogether because I now have tubular k-member envy. The prices of the k-member + front coilover kits has really come down on Ebay. At around $500 - $600 they now cost just about what I paid for springs and shocks. :bang:
