Lowering your car by cutting the stock springs

heating up springs by using a cutting torch is just asking for trouble

1) Springs are not that expensive, BUY THE CORRECT ONES FOR THE DROP YOU WANT.

2) If you drop more than 1.5" your are going to need to buy a lot more than just springs. If you cut corners on this someday you will make a post with a thread title like this; "I was driving in the rain/snow/loose gravel and my car just suddenly spun into the ditch and was destroyed"

anything more than a 1.5 drop you will require more than just the cut springs you will need the bump steer kit, LCA's and a few others things plus they are different spring rate for a 1.75" drop

get some H&R Super Sports if you want a big drop in front.

naysayers? there IS a difference between your drag suspension and a street suspension.

contrary to what you believe...my drag suspension is perfect for the street as well...it just so happens to be good on the drag strip.

Cutting springs is stupid. The spring rate must be matched for the height. Buy new springs, sell the others on ebay.
