my 93 ssp needs some love on the rear bumper. it is cracked in 2 spots. i have a new bumper to replace it with, trim is in great shape.

problem is, there is that retarded red pinstripe down the middle of it. i started peeling it with my fingers and i gave up after cleaning off 2 inches of it. what would be my ideal removal tool/chemical that wont damage the rubber?

after its all clean, i'd like to paint it with some fresh black. is there something specific from a rattle can maybe that everyone uses for this? the rest of the trim on the car is a nice dark black. dont want to swap the cracks out for faded trim.

thanks.

i found where people are using duplicolor trim paint. now that i've started removing this trim im not sure what to do. i guess i can clean it to the corner of the bumper and try to blend it?

problem is, the red pinstripe is cracking all over. so it might show through the black if i just spray over it all. has anyone removed this crap before?

do it in the sun or a heat gun... and it will peel right off if you have finger nails.. if its to cold it will just split every 2 mm if it splits well you'll be in for a few hours of swearing haha and if it chips paint just use those match in a can spray bombs:nice: and it does look like ass if u just spray over it
