It does sound kinda odd that you'd have to add 3"??!!!! That's a lot. Wonder if they gave you a wrong flowtube or somethin"?
Guy came over to look at my truck for sale tonite and he saw the 85 Notch in the garage and then the 88 GT I just bought out in the driveway. He asked if the 88 was for sale since I already had another in the garage - said nope I just got it. But I did crank up the 88 and listened to the MACs for a minute. He asked if I had big headers and took the cats off and I said nope - still stock shorties and 4 cat H-pipe. He thought it was pretty loud for the rest of the car being 100% stock. I still have to take the air silencer out yet! LOL!
