Okay, one side of my stock system is now off with the O/R H ready to accept my new MAC cat-back. The problem is I cannot get the muffer/bent tube over the rear axle. Everytime I try it catches on the control arm or parts of the body. Anyone have any ideas how to manipulate it over the axle? I'm using a standard jack on the rear and have it all the way up... plz help thanks!

Nevermind.. just lowered the car and jacked it up near the rear axle, but allowed it to hang low *newb mistake*. Anyway, anyone with MAC's notice the mufflers only have one hanger (mine have no bottom ones so they are tilted after installation)? Guess I'll have to cut/reuse my old ones....

Is the jack under the rear axle? If so, you probably don't have enough room to get the bent tube over the axle housing. I jacked up the car using the jacking points on the subframe at the rear of the car and supported the car with jack stands. This allows the axle to hang and creates a little more space between the body and the axle.

the macs will only use the top portion of the factory hangers. i wondered this when i installed my mac catback a few months ago. use the one i circled in the picture. and to get teh tube over the axle jsut jack up the body a little bit and it will go over nicley!

enjoy you will love the mac sound

p.s. DONT CUT ANY PART OF THE HANGER OFF. i did this and had to get a new one from ford!! (stupid of me) just put the hanger right backl where is was factory and use the circled insulator to hold up the mufllers, they will sit straight and the other part of the hanger will not be in the way at all
