MAC Long Tube Header problem

I bought Mac long tubes a while ago to replace my Hookers and I finally decided to put them on. I ran into a problem. I have a 99 GT and the EGR tube on the driver side header is a female connection and the EGR tube has a
nut on the end of it, which makes it female as well. How am I supposed to connect the 2. No adapter came with the headers and I don't know what size the thread is on the EGR tube on the header or on the EGR nut. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

You take the fitting out of the stock manifold. We had to heat mine with a torch. Still have your stock manifolds laying around somewhere?

So is the fitting threaded into the stock manifold? Why did you have to heat it? I do have my stock manifolds. Thanks.

Yes, there is a threaded fitting that is in the OEM manifold. Take it out and its basically just a threaded on both ends if I remember correctly. Screw it to the EGR pipe in the header, and then attach the EGR tube that runs to the upper plenum. I had to heat it because like most exhaust parts, it was siezed up and would have probably taken a 20ft long breaker bar to get enough leverage to break it loose without heating it.

BTW, I'll take a wild guess at why he is replacing the Hookers. There have been quite a few people with problems with the 2-piece design of the header and they have leaks at the slip-joint.

I have heard of leaks there too but none that were not fixed with just a small amount of muffler cement . Most people love them because of not having to take them apart for clutch install .
