Here's a link to them. http://www.sacramento-mustang.com/cgi-bin/cart.pl?db|sm.dat|Exhaust

Anyone have any experience with these?

Also, what are the pros/cons of long tube headers?

I've been considering the mac long tube or tri y headers for my 289, I heard tri-y's are good for low end torque.
...what do you guys recommend?

You need to use the complete mac exhaust with those headers, they use a ball/socket collector!! Its a VERY high quality kit with thick tubing, copper header gaskets and it fits like a glove. However the headers DO NOT fit a T-5 5 speed conversion if youre using a late model bellhousing( I had to modify mine to work) but they will fit if you use a stock bellhousing with the Z bar clutch. Id recommend the entire Mac exhaust to anyone looking for a complete exhaust. Tail pipes are available for both GT and non GT cars, that alone is unusual for 2.5" systems. heres a link to a pic of my mac system from under the car.Mac Exhaust
The photo is of my test fit and no hangers or tailpipes are in place yet.

I have the mac long tube headers on my 68 they fit very nicely they do use ball and socket fitting I had a local exhaust shop make up a connector to fit them to the rest of my exhaust. I have no complaints with them.
