I dont see too many people on here with them....do they suck...?....crappy eh? I was convinced on buying the SLP LTs....but after researching prices...$885 at summit......$719 at LMperformance....WTF!? do I get a hummer with that?....its the least you could do after you rape me.... but newayz...I actually talked to a guy with flows and an X pipe setup....I didnt like how it sounded too much...not what Im looking for....soooo Im set on the Mac o/r prochamber now...I like the Hooker Super comps but will they match up...prolly not....I dont want extra work or leaks....so whats the deal with the Mac LTs...safe bet? Lastly, will I need 02 extensions....I already know I will need MILs....where did you guys get them at? thanks guys...any feedback would be helpful and appreciated.

I was wondering the same thing since I have an auto I'm limited in my choices. Any body know a place to get them cheap?

Only reason why I have MAC longtubes is because I really didn't have much choice, thanks to the auto. I had them installed a couple weeks ago. I got ceramic coated btw...I guess I'll find out how they really are after a while.

I had MAC LT's with a Prochamber and Packs on my GT. While the sound was good, I was not a fan of the quality in the MAC LT's. Some people have no problems with the MAC LT's, but I did not like them at all. They were leaking on me and ticking and making noise at startup. They also needed to be warmed up on startup in my case a few times, or else the car felt like it wanted to shut off. I ended up switching to BBK LT's and couldnt be happier, should of went with them from the start. As for price, they are not much more than MAC LT's. I actually paid less for my BBK LT's and H Pipe on Ebay brand new than I did for just the MAC LT's alone. I have none of the problems I had with the MAC's with the BBK's and would reccommend them any day. Its your choice, like I said some people have no problems with them, but I've seen more people favor the BBK's in the case of LT's. Good luck with your choice!

And yes you will need 02 Extensions for the front 02's which are placed further back with the LT's.

Mac ceramic LT's, prochamber and flowpaths. I like the sound. I had a shop install them and they did it three times and I can still hear a ticking sound when accelerating sometimes. It could be the shop, but I think it's the headers.
If you buy the SLP's or a comparable brand you will get quality. If you buy cheap, like MAC, you may be fine and you may have problems. Your choice.
I got them pretty cheap from a guy on another forum. I'll try and find him, see if he still has them for a good price. Or try partshopper.com :SNSign:

thanks guys...I really dont want to get them to tell you the truth....I am a bit of a perfectionist and always tend to buy the best brand out there....but I really want to go with the o/r prochamber....maybe I shouldve rephrased the thread....what LTs will fit with the o/r prochamber besides of course--Mac LTs...

I just wanna order the slp LTs and the matching o/r X already and be done with it....but I know its gonna sound like ass after I install them and then Im gonna be pissed....dont feel like wasting almost a G....

amnit:

whitepony i would not get the offroad x. I am running the catted x and lm1s and it is really loud. Everyone i have come across says it sounds badass but i have to admit it does get to be a bit much on a daily driver sometimes. I don't think either combo is going to sound great with flows though. If it was me i would get a muffler with a straight through design.

LOL... 700$ isnt alot to spend on a header. A Honda *header* run around 750 for a semi-decent one. Nissan 350z guys spend well over a grand for crap. I say be happy that you get two for 750 bucks and well over 7 peak whp which is all I got from a $1400 header for my gay ass civic which ran 12's naturally aspirated. Now that my bitching (damn shoulda got a domestic sooner!) is done, for your budget id recommend the BBK Long Tubes with an x pipe. Its cheap and for the money you get "ok" quality. But pass on the macs.....
