is there a sound difference between the two? I love the sound of the pro chamber but i was just wondering if i could save a few $ and get the o/r h instead.. is it just as throaty? i just bought the mac Lt's and i can get the o/r h for pocket change... should i buy it or should i just wait like a week and get the prochamber?

oh also, are prochambers o/r or do they come with cats? need to know so i buy the o/r version.... thanks guys

if this isn't tech, sorry and please move it

lol i had pretty good luck with mac on my last mustang.. and as much as i wanted to buy bbk headers i knew there would be more chance of an exhaust leak trying to mate bbk headers to a prochamber then with mac to mac ya know

i had a problem with leaks and probably still do with a mac o/r h but im starting to think its at the manifolds lol.....

cant hear it unless im being picky with windows closed and stereo off, cuz otherwise i cant hear squat over the roar lol

i was in the same spot you are, decided to save some money and get the o/r h and im happy with the sound. I heard and have read that the prochamber helps scavenging and nets you like 5-6 extra ponies over the regular h, but I was in it more for the sound than the power since imho the prochamber sounds a BIT tamer

The h pipe has a more raw sound, while the pchamber has a more smooth and refined sound.

I love how both sound, but I prefer the pchamber. I will one day obtain an H center section so I can switch them out whenever I feel the need for a different sound.

No leaks here.

love the sound of my h-pipe(o/r mac, 3 piece). I have no leaks,if you take your time and leave bolts loose while you assemble, should have no issue's

I've had both. The H was a little more deep and throaty...an octave or so. The PC is a bit more smooth and a tiny bit quieter than the H.

The Prochamber is quieter and adds more power. My friend loves his. MY donor car also had this setup and when I put it all in my notchback with the same 4.6L motor, I used an off-road pipe instead and sold the Prochamber, and the car was louder.

I had 0 leak problems with my catter prochamber, sound was amazing with flows and then with an SLP Loudmout I catback.

What sucked though was their "new and improved" durablack coating flaking off and tons of rust spots every where. I replaced it with an SLP catted X, miss the sound don't miss the quality one bit.

I would go with the H pipe. I'm not a fan of the PC. TO ME Mustangs are supposed to be loud, and i just don't like PC's. Plus like you said, it's cheaper

I switched from Mac LTs and PC to Pypes LTs and H pipe, my exhaust got quieter. A bit more throaty for sure. I love the sound of the H over the PC. Never sounded refined to me. Just like it wanted to bit your head off and kill you with anything over 3 grand. The H killed a bit of the drone. I didn't notice any difference in power. But I changed a ton of parts.

Weird, my Prochamber is at work getting recoated right now blasted and high temp powder coat ready for resale.

BTW, non of my MAC stuff ever leaked, and it was bougth more then 4 years ago.
