i love the sound of both MAC and flows, but everyone and their grandma has them. seriously. flows are basically what everyone puts on their cars when they take it to a shop and say "i want loud exhaust"....

then theres the fact that most flowmaster catbacks dont add any hp

im tired of ignorant people who think that flows are the only thing that you can put on a mustang.

the only time i really like any kind of flows are when you go cat-less View attachment 432052

I have a MAC catback and MAC o/r H pipe. Sounds nice and mean and plenty loud. I went with MAC because every other Stang around here has Flows on it.

Hate em both. I'll never buy chambered mufflers again. Sure they're quiet at idle and have a nice deep tone to them, but on the highway, it's nothing but DRRRROOOOOONNNNNEEEE....no thanks!

I had the exact situation with MAC cat-back in my 96 GT. I could not handle the drone, my ears actually began to hurt. I took the cheapo route and had Magnaflows welded in. Buy the MAC, they're cheaper and if you don't like them just have some Flowmasters welded in. Best decision yet.

wow, BBK xpipe sucks ass. The rev sound like a screw or stuck somewhere in the exhaust. The drive off sounds ok though. I bet it sound sweet with a TRUE xpipe.

I still think that magna flow magnapacks still sound really good ,and yo ushoudl really consider them. I will attach another link that starts off with an 03 gt with magnapack catback with an x pipe ,then it shows it with slp longtube headers and a catted x-pipe on magnaflow magna packs. It sounds so f'in mean I tihnk you will liek it ,everyone let me no on what you think of it.

here is the link to the sound clip video:

^^^ thats my setup as of now (minus the headers). sounds damn good i know

but like i said before, i dont think he's looking for that sound. he wants the chambered muffler sound. more of a hallow burbling rumble. not all out agressive and poppy popcorn like the packs.

only problem is if you decide to go no cats with the magnapacks (my old setup), they crackle and pop like gunshots and it gets a little annoying.

Yes, I've heard the above streetfire post, and it sounds really mean..It's just that, when I heard the stingers, it sounded more like a chambered muffler..More of a "waawaawaawaa" sound..I like hollow, throaty, loud...But I still cant find the true stinger mufflers for my car..If I cant find them, I think I'm going with Mac..
