i've searched this forum high and low but cant find a place tobuy the mach 1 hood. karkraft gives u the part number only. summitracing was no help. its not even listed on ford's website. doesanyone know where to prurchase it?
$567.87 for a hood with a hole in it? That's freakin crazy! And then $100 to install it? Pleeeeaaase, it's only four bolts. Quality is job 1 and rip-offs are free.

i dont want to use my stock hood the stock hood and shaker look like crap to me. and i dont mind driving around with a hole in my hood for awhile. is there a place i could get the real mach 1 hood cheaper?
$439 for the Mach 1 hood. Probably cost you another $75 to $100 to ship it though.
That total dealer price wasn't all that bad, considering you would never get anyone to paint a hood for $80. Any good paint shop will charge you $150 to 200 to paint the hood.
Imo the CDC kit looks terrible with the goofy raised plastic piece that looks like an afterthought. I also am not so sure about cutting the stock hood due to structural rigidity and stuff.
Go with the OEM Mach 1 hood and the KarKraft shaker setup. Yeah its more but you get a hood you dont have to cut and uses OEM Mach 1 shaker hood, scoop, and parts.
