The Cobra's were rated at 320 HP and most runs Ive seen magazine wise are mid-upper 13's.
The Mach's are 300 HP, and run mid-low 13's in the same mags.
Does the solid rear axle give it that much advantage at the strip over the IRS?
5spd GT said:Well they only made two year model Cobra's that were rated at 320hp. Only the 2001 (not 1999) had the actual 320hp. The 99's had roughly around 290-300.

s. Didnt Ford have a recall on the 99 Cobra's for not making the whole advertized 320 hp?
nothing special?5spd GT said:Solid axle does help a bit with take-off, nothing special.
i've seen stock cobras on the street that start out with massive wheel hop, and when on the strip wheel hop in first and second, there's a huge differenceyeah that was big flub from fordBurningRubber said:Didnt Ford have a recall on the 99 Cobra's for not making the whole advertized 320 hp?
