Mach 1 vs. '05 GT

It seems lately we've gotten caught up in all this GTO vs. Mustang talk. What ever happened to the '05 GT vs '04 Mach 1 debates? Did they ever get settled, and I just missed it?

The 2005 GT conclusively wins. Because the Mach is an SN95.

Went to SRT4, then Cobra then GTO or something like that. Personally I've yet to meet up with any 05 GTs on the street, I had a V6 eyeing me up this morning on 270

Seriously I have read this forum since its inception and I have never seen soo much bs on any other forum... Now that your starting to recieve your 30 k gt's you think its the best on the road because you remember them when they first came out. Most of you have never driven or even know the specs of the vehicles your bench racing.(If you don't fall into this category please disregaurd) So take your cars to the track and when you beat a mach or find something that proves it is far superior talk to me again. For all those who care I will be on bradbarnett where they have at least some semblance of reality..... and don't fight like school children. Again those of you that are not like that, this doesn't apply to you... And no this isn't envy so don't go there, I am just tired of the bs.

You just happen to own a Mach 1...

Hey I have a '98 Cobra. What about getting some '05 GT vs. '98 Cobra threads going reminiscent of all of the '99 GT vs. '98 Cobra threads?

'Cause no way is the '05 GT faster than a 'Cobra'.

i dont get what is so hard to understand here. there is a such thing as cars that are equal in performance. the cars that are being debated are just that. while good for a one time topic to get the facts, i just the repeated posts on this.

99 gt= 98 and prior cobra, with a very slight edge to the cobra

bullitt= 99- 01 cobra = lightning

mach 1 = 05 gt = gto, mach i believe to be about one tenth (.1) faster then the other two.

03 cobra = superior except for zo6

Ford GT > SRT- 10 Viper > Viper GTS > 04 - 00 Z06 > 03 Cobra > 00 Cobra R = 05 GTO (probably) > LS1 Fbodies = M3 > Mach 1 = STI > 04 GTO > 02 -04 Lighting = 01 -99 Cobra = 05 GT (so far) > 98-96 Cobra = Bullitt > 99 Lightning = SRT-4 = 350z = 99+ GT = S2000 > RX8

huh? Wasn't the Bullit just a GT with some cosmetic diferences (wheels, gauges etc.)? The Bullit didn't have the DOHC heads did it? what perfomance upgrades over the 99-04 Gt's did it have?

Different intake manifold and different exhaust too, made for a broader torque cure, I think Ford revised hp numbers to 275

bullitt is not equal to 99/01 cobra or a lightning.
plus it's ugly.

the differences that were mentioned covers it, but i wasnt sure if i wanted to put the bullitt in the 99 gt and 98 cobra catagory or in the lightning and 99 -01 cobra one.

i always thought the bullitt was puttin down around the same times as gt, but as of late i been seeing some times on here that seemed to move it up a notch. if it were my call yea the bullitt runs closer to gt times, sorry mistake.

when i was at the tract, i saw a bullitt run a 14.5 terrible driver i guess.

I'll let you all know when I have my first real experience. Everything between these car is tenths and I've been reading the cars by their trap speeds, the Mach 1 consistantly has Higher trap speeds so I'm pretty confident what my Car looses to an 05GT on the starting line is more then made up at the end of the track......Hey anyone see a Video of an 05 GT go 12.9@106 bone stock yet?? hmff Beats me I guess there still breaking in..

350Z=99GT tell that to the 5 350Z's I beat. Or should say smoked?

Some others are also questionable.
