Hello there!

I just bought my first stang last night

it is a 2002 v6 model with all the options and leather and all that good stuff.

it has the 6 disk changer and mach labeled speakers, but i looked up some stuff on the mach 1000, wich i believe i have, and it says that there are subs in the trunk, and there is no sub of any kind in the the trunk let alone anywhere else!?!?!?

it sounds good, but it needs subs...

is there a model of ther mach1000 that does not come with subs?

thanks, and sorry im sorry if this is a requently asked question...

Welcome to the boards. If you have the 1000, there will also be 4 amps in a rack in the trunk: http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com/catalog/itemdisplay/589.html The Mach460 is the same, just without the 2 subs, and 2 less amps. Most likely, you have the 460.

i guess i have the 460, wich is still pretty nice, ive had better, but its good for stock!!

Yeah, you just need the harness made for the mach460 system. Be glad you didn't pay extra for the 1000. Some decent aftermarket equipment puts it to shame pretty easily.

Shouldn't be too expensive. I think they changed the harness after 2001, so you might have to go to best buy or circuit ciry or a local installer, and they should have one. Not sure on the price, though.

Welcome. You have the Mach 460, not the Mach 1000

What sub and amps can you buy that will work with the rest of a stock mach 460? Basically install it like the 1000?

I'm using the stock Mach 460 amps to run a 12-inch sub and it sounds great but I need to find a way to lower the output of those amps. They have a much higher sensitivity than the other amp running the front stage.

If you're looking to add subs, how much are you looking at spending?

all ready have them...

got 2 10" JL audio W3's and a Punch amp with like 500watts bridged at 4ohms....

just seeing how the heck its all gonna fit together, want to use my previous deck, it has a front and rear preamp out put, but no sub out puts, so...

i was thinking of use the the front out put and split it to the two amps for the front and rear speakers and run the tweets off the 57watts x 4 i have in the deck, and then use the rear out preamp for the subs....

is that all possible?!?
