Alright, I heard a while ago about some solenoid or some device that would let you make full boost when in neutral, and revving up. And its not a 2-step ignition, or anything related with the ignition, as far as I remember.

This would be absolutely sweet for showing off and making a huge burnout.

Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

Thanks, Josh

If you pull a bunch of timing you can make boost in nuetral, but otherwise I dont' know. If all you're trying to do is show off a blowoff valve will go off when revved in nuetral. I don't think its needed for a burnout either I have nothing like that and I do them just fine.

Yeah I have no problem spinning the tires, but I think it would help a little with launching, anyway im going to try to find out how to do it and put it on here.

Alright, I cant find it but I have a new problem! Anybody ever got in there car and drove it two miles then decided to see how far they could spin the tires in second from a stop sign? I did and I wiped out the timing belt, Now I cant get the freaking crank pulley off. Do I need a puller? btw: It spun at least 80 feet in second!!! Heck yeah!

Thanks, Josh

i'm not sure that was a good idea.... an impact gun should brake it loose. reset the timming (crank and cam, cause it more then likley jumped timming) and hope you didnt harm the top end, how high did it rev

I have got the bolt off, I just cant get the stupid pulley off, What I did was ease into first, floor it and then speed shift second without letting off the gas to keep boost up(only 15 psi) and then hold into it until it stopped spinning. I knew the timing belt was going to need changed soon, but geez, it didnt even pop when I did it, I had to slow down for a blue hair about a mile up the road and I guess then it decided to go. Oh yeah, this thing is never over 6200 rpm, changing head gaskets are a pain. Im going to see if i can get it off with two pry bars on either side of the pulley, might work?
thanks josh

just go rent a pulley puller from autozone or advance.

get the one that looks like a crab claw thingy.

put the bolt back in a little bit of the way to use as leverage and start cranking down on the puller and the pulley should pop loose.

I like to put some axle grease on the crankshaft snout and use some 600 grit sandpaper on the inside of the crank pulley and then some axle grease on the inside of it as well.

this keeps it from freezing up again if you need to take it off so you can actually do it by hand in the future...

I have to find a belt tensioner local to finish my car today..(essy oart wont be here for a lil bit)...and id kill to be able to spin my wheel for 80feet in second....my damn car has a traction problem in third gear and spins the 315 wide drag radials in third..when i get to the track it hooks but not on the street....I always use antiseize on the crank nose so it wont get stuck that and the crank gear for the timing belt..................Hal

Dang, I got little crappy 225's and most of the time it will just chirp 2nd, or spin for a second. It was like a miracle that it spun for that long! I used some penetrating oil on the crank pulley and it wiped clean, and now it just slips off like silk.
Also, what kind of freakin power do you have to spin 315's in third? Thats awesome, Im thinkin' this is a 2.3 but even for a 5.0 strokercharged thats pretty dang good.
