I've always loved the videos guys make of their cars and such and I finally made one of my own. I made one that shows my car, my dad's 91GT, and my mom's Bullitt. Check it out and let me know what you think. As always, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE right click on the link below, select "save target as" and save the file to your computer. Do not left clikc on the link. If you do, I will exceed my bandwidth VERY quickly and the site will be shut down for a day very quickly and then no one will be able to see it.

RIGHT CLICK HERE THEN SELECT "SAVE TARGET AS"

needs more vid, for sure, but a great start...congrats on that. What video software do you use? I'd love to start recording some action in the stang and put it to music.

Yea, i agree. It was more of a slideshow than a video. And the quality could be better. But I love all of your families cars!

Thanks guys! I know it was more a slideshow than a video, but the only videos I have are of my car at the track. I don't have any street videos. What kind of street videos can/should I take?
I used windows movie maker to make the video. I have an idea for my next video, but I need to find another way to convert my normal video to digital. The way I do it now, the sound sucks and you can barely hear it.

I'm glad you guys like the new avatar... I thought some would get a kick out of that. It seems we have gone "bar" crazy here lately!!!

Mackey- the original video is VERY high quality, but it was close to 20MG, and my website only allows me 20MB TOTAL, so I had to shrink this down to a hair under 3mb. If and when I get my own website, I will put the higher quality ones up.

WOW Paul. That's crazy. Do you get charged if you exceed a certain amoutn of bandwidth? My buddy just started his own company for webhosting and he told me for $15 a month I get 150MB of storage and unlimited bandwidth, plus $20/yr to register the domain name. Does that right? A buddy told me yesterday that he only pays $50/year for his website and he has 50mb of storage.

Yeah... that's what I said til my lambo Auto-X video I took turned into a **** video for car enthusiasts.

7302 Downloads - 24981445KBytes over 20 days caused me to change the file name. I hit 41 gig of bandwidth last month with 100mphclub.com. The video in question was just 5.3 megs.

First off.... don't pay $20 a year for a domain. www.aplus.net - until October 15th you can get your domain for $5.95 - normal rate is $7.95 a year. You just login and point the domain to your server.

Second... I've outgrown 4 hosts in 2 years mainly due to 100mphclub.com. I have a reseller package just like your friend and offer hosting in a round about way, I'm a freelance designer and I usually only host the sites I build, so I'm not really into it for the hosting. Although I do on occasion sell a plan to a friend since it costs me nothing to add a website. It cuts into my total package limits and as my "needs" grow, then I go up to the next "limit" package and pay more per month.

Personally, I will NEVER buy from an UNLIMITED bandwidth company again. Learned my lesson the hard way. As mentioned I had ONE video use 33gig of bandwidth in 20 days not counting all my other clients.

Imagine being hosted on an UNLIMITED server with 40+ other Hosting company's that are also resellers and sell UNLIMITED bandwidth to their 200+ customers that they EACH have. Factor in the odds that at any given time ANY of those 200+ sites (times 40+ companies) could have a few sites with some good videos that are popular. You've got yourself one hell of a traffic jam and poorly running server.

It really depends on where you want to go with the site, it's always nice to have someone that can help you along, but if you are looking for advice, don't get too excited about anything that says unlimited. You get what you pay for.

Now if he meant "virtually" unlimited, like I say to some of my clients that's another thing. For my uncle's lawfirm that just has a "brochure" type site, he's got way more storage and bandwidth than he could ever possibly need. It's so much more than he needs that it's virtually unlimited.

I know this isn't your thing but Ive always wanted to see what you car had vs some streeted ls1's.

When I think of racin its pullin up next to someone at a stoplight where a 1.66 60' aint gonna happen so its a drivers race to the finish. Maybe if you have a couple of buddies with other cars, or go out racing for a night.

The link isn't working right now for me...but I'll keep working on it...

As for what street videos to put on there...how about some burnouts, a "at the track (cough street race cough) race" vs. some ls1's, vettes, etc, flyby's, a camcorder in a car your passing as you fly around it starting at the same speed their going and dropping it down and going around them, etc...

Good Luck with the video...

They actually have (cough street racing cough) at the track. At least here in chicago they do. They have RSD nights at Union Grove where they take down the tree and all races are started with a flag and you can be spotted out. Im sure other tracks do this as well. Its chicago's answer to street racing. And betting is allowed.
