Hey guys Im about to do a head, intake and Tb swap. Going with AFR 165's, Trick Flow Street Heat Intake, and a BBK 70mm TB. Right now on the car I have a C & L 73 mm MAF. I have heard that you need a MAF at least 5mm bigger then the TB. Is this true? Is my 73 big enough to get the TB proper air? Thanks for the help.

I believe the 73 won't be a bottleneck to flow with his mods; bigger won't hurt, but I don't think it will help. Correct calibration is more important to focus on than moving up in size in this application - I believe.

Hmmm well when i get all of this installed im going to have it dyno tuned at a good shop and have a custom chip burnt so callibration shouldnt be a problem. Another reason i ask is that i was considering getting the 76mm MAF system from C & L with the inlet pipe and heat shield. I was trying to find another reason to justify the cost of that system to top off the mods i can doing. Thanks for all the advice.
