What year is your maf harness? 89 is the only one that will work as a plug and play. And yes, if it is an 89 harness, you can cut your hands repeatedly, go nuts trying to get the harness out and back through the firewall, break 1/3 of the plugs and call it a day. At least, that's what I did.

If you are sure you have an '89 harness, then yes it will work. If it's a 90 or higher, it won't.

You could also go this route with the IST harness for $40

If you lay the harness out on top of the motor and look at the driver's side firewall area, you will either have the 2 dash connectors you need, or only have one. If you have 1, your harness is 90+. You will be looking right where the diagnostic connector is..
Thanks to Jkrichker for the pic.. It will be right in this area. See the 2 connectors right underneath the diagnostic connector?

Actually, my sig is a quote from a member who posted it here. I just wanted to immortalize it. When you do this, plan on at least 2 hours and a six pack.

??
I'm not sure what you mean. lay your replacement harness over the engine and at that corner, make sure you have the 2 connectors you will need for the wiring harnesses that go back into the dash. As long as you have both, you are good to go.

Look around on this website about moving your wiring to the fenders. It's been posted with directions. I'm going to do that right before I do a new shortblock so I can get the engine compartment sprayed at the same time.
