i need a new air sensor and i was wondering if i should go MAF or not. ive read that it is good for high performance 5.0s but i dont know if it has a negative effect on stock ones... my car is stock. this summer i plan on doing exhaust/intake/ignition/gears so should i get the MAF now, or is MAF for even more serious stangs? support your answer with actual products plz lol i would like to get this done as soon as possible. also is it bad for me to drive the car around with a busted sensor? i know it cant be good but will i cause alot of damage? i need the car for school tomorow

well, it is not the endof the world, but keep the load, and rpm down. it will default to a rich condition with no maf....and may die at stoplights.
dont go showing off, or racing....

as for a sensor, try and get a used one. save your money on the pro m or granatelli stuff untill your at the point in which one is needed... (larger injectors etc...) and remember that c&l meters do not come with them.......
