I had a 80mm maf meter from a 2001 gt. I put it on there since I changed the injectors and needed something better than the stock 55mm one. I swapped the 80mm with the c&l.
I finally got around to getting a C&L(2 weeks late), so I installed the 76mm C&L with black sample tube, thats what I was given for conical filter attached directly to the meter.
I felt better, it ran a little bit smoother, but if I went to WOT, I would get popping, my boss says its a lean misfire.
With that aside, I only put 20 miles on the C&L and only made it pop about 20 times. So put on the old 80mm and it works fine, no popping no weirdness.
I played with it just a little bit. If I eased into it, I went up to 5200 and no popping. So only in clear flood mode, I would get popping. I thought about the regulator and disconnected it, I didnt notice much of a difference, still popping.
any thoughts?
