MAF vs. injectors

What would happen if the MAF sensor was calibrated for 36lb injectors and by accident you has 30lb injectors? What would be the symptoms?

I know a guy that put 24lbs in a car with the stock MAF calibrated for 19s. It ran like crap and reeked of gas fumes. First time Mustang owner.
