I was just on magnaflow's website and they want 500 for the mufflers and another 600 for the tru-x pipe with the cats. So thats 1100 for the exhaust system from headers back. Does this sound right to you guys? Does anyone have products from them. Can i get it cheaper some where else?

Thanks.

i got mine from houston performance i think it was about 700$ or something
I dont have much to compare them too, i originally had straight duals with those little cylinder mufflers ...and it was very loud which i didnt care for...the magnaflows are not very loud at low rpm's and idle...I need to make a sound clip sometime ...

I think you should be able to get the x-pipe w/cats and the cat-back system for around $800 shipped. I believe I got both parts from Partshopper. I have the same system on my 93 LX. The cat-back is definitely quieter than a set of flowmasters, but overall I think it sounds better. Both parts appeared to be well made. The x-pipe seemed to be shorter than the off-road h-pipe I was originally running, and it didn't work with the set of Flowmasters I had on the car. They were just about shot anyway, so I bought the Magnaflow cat-back system. It worked well with the x-pipe. Also, the car passed CT emissions even though the x-pipe didn't have an exemption number.

Thanks for the plug jbarrells. :flag:

Guys, look at the tab at the top of the page; if you don't ever check out Partshopper then you are short-changing yourselves. :nice:

I originally ran the x-pipe and cat-back with a set of Hooker equal length headers. There were no installation problems. I recently changed the headers to a set of ceramic coated Motorsport shorties. They seemed to pull the system up and closer to the engine, just enough to make the x-pipe contact the tranny crossmember. A little grinding solved that problem. Not my favorite method of correction, but it got the job done. It's tough to say if it will require modification in your case. With any part I buy, I figure I will have to modify something to make it fit just right.

Part shopper is a little cheaper after the rebate i get from being a member. Is there anyone else thats used the magnaflow x-pipe to pass emmisions, I am in maryland so anyone that passed emmisions in md would be great. Thanks alot guys.

I dont have emissions here...I paid a muffler shop to install them for me...dont think there were any problems with the install... it didnt take them long(stock headers) but i did get the x w/cats

heres a link to where i got mine.. http://www.houstonperformance.com/ looks like 698$ + shipping.. if thats still current ..you might call them up and talk with them ..the guy i talked to had them on his stang and was fairly helpful

Does anyone have the magnaflow h-pipe with cats and the magnaflow catback system? How is it, is it worth the money? Would you suggest anything else?

I have the Carsound/Magnaflow (not S/S) H pipe with cats and the Magnaflow catback. They are great -- unless you want a LOUD car. At idle the car is almost silent but really sounds good a WOT.

I paid $600 for both pieces shipped. I got it from somewhere on the internet though. I think it was fullineexhaust.com or something like that...

Do a google search for "buy magnaflow"....

Good luck!

Yea i was looking at houston performance and they are about the same price as the one on this site, only because the site offers a discount to members. Its like 70 off the cat back and like 130 off the x pipe with cats. I am still looking for anyone that has put them through emmisions in either PA or MD. I have a good feeling they would pass but it would really suck if i paid all this money and had to change the pipe every couple of years to get through emmisions. I think i am going to go with magnaflow's from the headers back. I might look on ebay and see if i cant pick some up for a little cheaper.

Has anyone had any problems with matching up the magnaflow x pipe with cats with the BBK long tube headers? Some guy was saying this MAC headers dont match his magnaflows.

I have the Magnaflow X-pipe and cat-back system on my car, they perform great and have passed the strict emissions tests here in California. Magnaflow actually developed the parts on my car along with some other Fox bodies. Unfortunately Fox bodies vary quite a bit from car to car, so some cars will fit great and some will require some work. They dont currently offer an X-pipe for long tube headers because the different header manufacturer's are all a little different so it would be very difficult to make a pipe that would fit most headers. The center X-assembly can be purchased and the other pipes can be easily fabricated, though.
