Magnaflow mufflers

About how much louder than the stock mufflers would the stainless steel magnaflow mufflers welded into the stock pipes be? Would the sound change be noticable?

You wouldn't hear much difference at idle but when you start hitting 3000+ rpms, you will hear a much nicer sound than stock. It will be fairly quiet.

at idle it will be a tad louder than stock. Normal acceleration around town, the sound is deeper, a little louder and there is some drone. At highway speeds, cruising around 70 - 75 it is louder and there is more drone. At WOT the car screams. :nice:

I put a MF entire catback in an other wise stock auto, and he got on it afterwards, and it sounded stock to me. Maybe barely louder. Mybe you want packs instead to be louder. All Depends on what mid pipe you plan to run, and how loud you want. My car is pretty loud with MF catback, LT's, and o/r X, but still not real loud. Perfect since LT's really quieten the exhaust a bit.

Good choice with Magnaflow! I love my magnapacks with longtubes and o/r H. The part # for the magnapacks is #14416. They only 6.5 lbs too! For the price and quality magnaflow is the way to go. I can't tell you how many times I get compliments on my car, it is insanely loud with my combo.

I've had both catbacks on my Stang. I also have the catted x-pipe. I found that the magnaflows are about 2x louder then stock. Very nice. The magnapacks are about 4x louder then stock. Too loud for my tastes but a real head turner. Excellent quality with all their products.

Ummmmm no, its not a tad louder at idle, a tad quieter! But none the less, they sound better than the stock ones and they are also SS!
