How do I get my 07 to sound like my 91? The 91 has O/r Hpipe, LT Headers and americian thunder Catback. The 07 has flowmaster axelback but to be honest, I don't like the sounds of the new stangs so far.

You drop a 302 windsor in it. You may get your car loud/deep like your 91 but it won't sound like your 91 because the engine construction, harmonics and dynamics are totally different.

And also why the 05+ sounds different is muffler placement. 91s were placed in the middle and 05+ are placed behind the axle.

I understand the muffler placement and dynamics and on and on. I have heard several that say there combos sound the best. However, still haven't found one that just sounds good... I have heard rumor that there is a muffler set up that moves ours before the axel and makes it sound more 86-96, anyone seen this or have a sound bite?

I think the flow masters sound just as good as the rest by the way, I haven't heard any dollar per dollar that stick out from the others.

Us there anywhere people have posted audio of different ones?

Pypes makes a midmuffler system. I haven't heard it in person, but on video it sounds good. Some people have issuses with them fitting properly. If you get this system, you might want to have a muffler shop install it.

+1 on the Pypes Mid Muffler system. Had I known / been out when I was in the market fo an exhaust I probably would have gone with it.

I've got Magnapacks welded up as a mid muffler system. The Pypes or the Magnapacks, like mine, sound like OBS Mustangs. It sounds a lot better though.

How much was it to get the magnpacks made into a midmuffler?

I believe they are getting loader. Yesterday in the parking garage, I set off the alarm in the truck that was parked in the row behind me. When I started my car, I heard the alarm chirp and when I backed up, the alarm went off.

My buddy is the one who owns the muffler shop so I just bring him the stuff and he does it for a beer.

Interesting. So basically he just moved the muffler to the middle? What about the tips. Did he cut them off an re-weld them on?

I already had SLP LMS so that solved the tips issue. I just bought the Magnaflow Magnapacks, not the kit, and just had them spliced into the factory exhaust system right before the axle.
