The Friday Night test & tune is coming up at my local track soon, and it'll be my first time at the track. And I wanted to practice my launches on dead roads/parking lots so I can focus on other things when I'm actually there. I got some strong, 3000rpm launches in with no wheelspin. I was impressed at the amount of grip and the throttle response this car has considering it's all stock.
Then I wanted to see if I could launch harder so I revved it to 3500, and rode the clutch a little too much as well, which it did not like.
I smelled burnt friction material, and I'm sure there was clutch smoke as well that I just couldn't see.
Then I felt a nasty chatter whenever I'd try to accelerate normally (at idle) from a standstill. I heard a machine gun-like "ratatata" along with a vibration that shook the whole car. It was doing this the whole way home and now I'm worried.
The friction point wasn't affected at all though. The pedal still felt as stiff as it was, and it seemed to grab hard. Should I be worried?
