The fabrication for the most part is done on this thing It going to relocate the MAF/filter where the smog pump used to be. Should get that crap out of sight and clean up the engine bay a lot! I'm going to smooth is all out and paint it a gloss black probably. Its held in place about 1/4" from the alt by a steel rod that goes down to the block then is bolted on. 3" pipe all the way with smooth flowing bends in it as you can see. If anyone wants me to make one for them, PM me and I'll see what we can work out. I'll have finished pictures of it tomorrow probably because I'll have to let the paint dry.

Why not in the fender? Prevent fan wash and what not.

I'm building one for my 418 out of 4" mandrel bent tubes but I'm going into the fender and putting the maf in there too. I was planning on having a local guy that did my lower intake ceramic coat it "krome" for a nice polished look. Might want to consider? I built one for my last blower and primed and painted it and the paint would always chip off.

I'm going to be molding that fender smooth too. no holes or anything in it. If this doesnt work out, I'll make a different one where it sits up right next to the alt probably.

Why not something like Mike's where it's built into the fender? What happened to the turbo project?

I want to keep the fenders as clean as possible. The guy that was supposed to be building the hotside parts for the turbo setup hasnt contacted me in over 2 weeks He said he'd do it for free if I bought the parts... Well I bought the $293 worth of parts, good communication for the first month but I think he was BSing me about what was done, then it slowly got harder to contact him, and now I cant even get a phone call to go through. I have his address and everything, the bill from summit/jegs for most of the parts that were shipped to his house, but since I didnt buy anything from him, and he got the parts, I dont think theres ***** I can do to get my money or parts back... it was Pete (yellow5.0cobra) btw

same here... live and learn I guess... I have his address and everything (unless he lied about that or moved) so do you think filing a complaint with the PD in his town will do anything?

for thoes intrestd... Got my CAI put on yesterday. Drove around and everything is working out just fine. The filter actually angles down a lot more than I wanted, but that's an easy fix if I ever feel like it. Dont mind the dirty engine bay... it has a good reason to be dirty
