Hi, i have a 94 mustang gt (auto). I want to go with afr 165 and i dont know what manifold to get. I also plan to swap to t5 soon. I just want to know what manifold would be recommended like IDLE-5500, or 1500-6500 and what brand. Dont want to lose any low end TORQ. Thanks.

I don't want to be the guy who brings bad news, but when you get new heads and manifold, you're pushing the powerband upwards. You will almost for sure lose low end torque to some extent.

Can't help you with the manifold choice. Just porting your lower manifold might be enough to match those heads (I don't know anything about AFRs). If you don't want to lose low end torque, that may be a good idea.

As long as you maintain the stock cam and you go with AFR 165's and my suggestion (a Performer intake - idle to 5500rpm)...the "torque loss" will most likely be more of a SOTP loss than a REAL loss...because you get so much more upper rpm pull that it offsets (in your mind) the feeling of the actual torque...

I was suggested the Performer by Ed Curtis himself...he said it had a more "usable rpm powerband" than the Performer RPM or bigger...
