I hit a junk yard up today and got a few goodies to tied me other for 2 weeks. I got 9x6 (or was it 10x6?) sony xplode speakers for the back of my car and they sound so much better than the stock ford speakers. I also got a TPS, and IAC from a 1990 Mustang coupe and a few underdash sensors also.

So onto the problem.

I need to know that sensor under the dash is for the (radiator) fan.

And my idle is still high. although it does eventually go down to 900 - 1500 RPM (verys) so what else could be the problem? I know the TPS on the 90 mostang is different (or at least the TB is) so what could cause my ****ed up idle still?

This is making me very pissed and I just want to rip that ****ing engine out and put a 350 chevy in there because it seem's so much easier

Its not the IAC, might be the TPS (idles 1500 with the IAC unplugged)

With the IAC unplugged it should be idling at 750 RPM. Check the TPS voltage. Reset it or replace it and reset the TPS voltage to ~.94-.98. If that doesnt solve it, make sure that the throttle plate is closing all the way.

I'll pick up another TPS and test that out, if that doesn't work then I'll have to think of an engine swap soon
